Full Load Drama Spa

Question: What are hair salons and barbershops most common for, besides their services?

Answer: DRAMA, a full load of drama!

It's not only on fiction movies, but it really is FACT! The drama and gossips inside of salons have been around for ages, it goes down in any place that the beauty process occurs.... from your illegal basement salon in some one's house to the most luxurious expensive hair salons on 5th ave. There is drama in all of them, its just a place for drama to be stored and circulate.. and it makes me wonder why drama and gossip so high in salons and barbershop?

Recently [[2 months ago]] I got a job working as a Receptionist at an Upscale Salon in Georgetown

What I thought would be a great fit for me, since I'm only here for 1 more semester,

because well...  pay is decent, its a fun field and the perks of working at a spa makes it worth-it-all

[[I get free nails and hair services ]]

But as I get drowned in my job, I started to realize I am are not just a receptionist

you are the GO-TO GIRL for drama, and gossips and attitude problems.

You have to hear it from everyone,

The clients..

The employees...

The maintenance people...

On-Lookers...

Sales calls....

etc.....

And you know what? Its exhausting, in all areas.

I'm sick and tired, there are days I work 11 hour shifts

I cant be the handy dandy girl to every one's problems

So when a attitude spazzes out in the salon,

I am the first to hear it and the last one too.

Then we have the bi-lingual professionals, who speaks about it in another language

to each other, right in front of you.

And the professionals who have a semi-friendship with their clients,

who takes the client in another room, to gossip on the

" new happenings on the salon and who annoys them the most"

The point is, I know I work with "artists" and they all carry themselves differently, and the salon is a melting pot of diversity and attitudes. But why does it affect me? when all I do is sit behind the desk and book appointments, manage schedules and pay roll. I find it unnecessary to me to know any personality problems

that is going around the salon, especially gossip.

There are a millions of rumors right now, since our salon got bought by a new owner, and we are under new management. So you can imagine, what the poor manager is having to go through battling the two-faced, professional catty woman, and gay divas who are confined in a room all day together.

 I am pretty much damned if I get involved, and damned if I don't

Either way, gossip and rumor, and attitudes are going to come my way

and I have to react, and by reacting to it, it will piss someone off

no matter how unbiased I am.

Then comes the problems,

where an employee doesn't hear me give them a welcoming Good morning

and calls me out on being rude and unfriendly to them,

then they create this huge malicious plot in their head out of their own guilty self conscious

that I might not be booking their clients properly, or messing up on their schedules.

it is aggravating!!!! grrrrr.

So they come check their schedule 200 times a day to make sure

I am doing my job, over a single UNHEARD hello in the morning

I'm sorry, I am doing my job, and my job is to book you guys

I want to make sure everyone is booked solid for the whole day

The salon being busy, means you are busy and it equals less drama

so why would I mess up on any of these drama-queens schedules?

I much rather see them busy and working, then sitting around

or even worst... standing behind me watching my computer screen.

When moving to the Country's Capital City

The first thing I wonder was "-Does Washington DC have a Trader Joe's?"
I know Florida doesn't have, and that is a big bummer!!

While I was living in Eastern Michigan, few years ago, I went to visit my friend at her family's house for Christmas.

who resides in Alpharetta, GA.
And her mother was actually the one who introducted me to the Trader Joe's world.
[[[Thank You Mrs. Wine]]]

Here was this, beautiful wife, and mother of two young adults, wealthy woman

who shopped at this "Trader Joe's" market.. hmmmm
and highly recommended it to me!

We went online, and searched for Traders Joe's in Michigan

and one happened to be about 20 miles from my house in Downtown Detroit
[[[totally worth the drive]]]

When i flew back home to Michigan, the first thing I did was find my way to Trader Joe's

My first impression was "-wow, this place is different than I thought"
I was expecting to see something fancy like Whole Foods market. . . .
but Trader Joe's was different,
it was laid back, very organic looking, and friendly, alternative look. 
The workers were super friendly, and all wear Hawaiian shirts.
[[[weird, right? I wonder why?]]]

As I look at the products I noticed that EVERYTHING Traders sell is TRADER JOE'S brand.

It is all healthy and organic products that beats any competitors out there as far as price & taste goes.

After that first visit to trader Joe's I fell in love.
 Everything that comes from that placeis delicious!
I TRUST TRADER JOE'S 100%

So when I moved to Washington DC,
 I googled Trader Joe's right away to see if there was one in the area.

and THANKFULLY there was!

Less than a mile away

walking distance from me, yay!

Now it is officially my boyfriends favorite food shopping store.

I have no idea what has came over me, but lately I have gone on a shoe shopping spree, and I am so happy with all my purchases, they are all unique and beautiful in their own way!

What to get HIM?

Sooo.. My boyfriends birthday is this Thursday, December 16th. a "minx" coat pedicure takes about 45 minutes, and it will cost you about 85$.

and a "minx" coat manicure, takes just as long, and it costs 55$.  I know it seems a little much on the price, but they last about 3 weeks on hands (no chipping) and about 5 on toes. And you can even do it up like Rihanna, and get Obama on your nails.  :)

Wanted: Longchamp tote

AAAAH YES IM SO HAPPY NOW!  I finally found it!  This is the bag/tote I have been seeing around town, on 9 out of 10 girls. I want this bag, so bad. . . not because it seems to be very popular amongst the stylish crows, but because ita actually a TOTE, lightweight, and is casual enough to make into my everyday bag!  The only thing  that was keeping me away from it was the fact that I didn't know was who made this tote, -who designs it? I wondered!

 I was way too embarrassed to stop someone in the street and ask what designer makes that tote, because apparently the brand name is very well hidden on this tote, to keep its casual look of the tote.  So after a few days of web browsing I finally googled the obvious....."POPULAR BAG"  and yes, you guessed it, this tote was the first bag that came out on my search. (Why didn't I think of that...)

Feeling / Memory

Ahh..I hate that feeling when you know you're  going to cry. 

 Your lips quiver,

your heart pounds,

 your eyes sting.

Your face clenches up and then

the tears starts to fall...

You cant stop them from running down your cheek

No matter how hard you try.

 And its not little tears that are sliding down your cheek,

 its big tears that makes your eyes all red and puffy,

 and your face tear stained and ur body heave

The big ones that makes you fear if you speak or open your mouth

that your eyes will get filled up a lot quicker

and the tears will run down faster with ease

and than you really lose any type of control

you were trying to have over the tears from coming

While you sit there and try to control

 you think you think what you could have possibily done

 to have prevented that suffering,

 that pain or that reason that caused those tears.

 You just want to stop the suffering

Stop this, and stop what you are going through, and take the tears back

But there is nothing you can do or nothing anyone can say.

its the kind of tears and pain that needs to be cried out, not talked out.

And even though you know you might be hurting people that you love,

you dont care, because right now crying is consoling you

and you dont care whos hurting from watching you

you cry. You just want to cry

and it is okay
