30 Reasons Girls Should Call it A Night

This picture is equivalent to the quote below:
"The more you drink the better they look."

which reminds me of this:

30 REASONS GIRLS SHOULD CALL IT A NIGHT:

1. You have absolutely no idea where your friends are.

2. You have absolutely no idea where your car is... wait did you bring your car??

3. You've become convinced that dancing with your arms overhead, shaking your ass, and yelling WOO HOO is truly the sexiest dance move EVER.

4. You've suddenly decided you want to kick someone's ass and honestly believe you can do it (bitch...i ain't playin...).

5. You start singing 80's songs at the top of your lungs and showing off your dance skills to the car next to you.

6. Your bladder becomes amazingly full every 10 minutes.

7. You sit down and the room and people around you start spinning profusely.

8. Your slurring your words so bad, that nobody can understand what your saying and then when they say what, you can't even remember what you were talking about.

9. You've come up with the brilliant idea that you can create less hassle on your friends by just "sleeping over" at a your guy friend's house.

10. You see beers all over a table so you lift each one up until you find one half full and chug it when no one is looking.

11. You talk to stupid skanks you really hate and tell them you really do like them and that ya’ll should be friends.

12. You pass out at the party. And the next morning there is writing all over your face and limbs. (If you pass out with your shoes on, you are fair game).

13. You find yourself peeing behind random buildings.

14. You become overly enthusiastic when someone offers you $20 dollars to make out with your friend (when you totally would have done it for free).

15. The man you're flirting with used to be your TA.

16. You've suddenly taken up smoking, and become really good at it.

17. Every conversation starts with a booming, "DON'T take this the WRONG WAY but..."

18. Your make-up is smeared all over your face and somehow you have still managed to make out with 5 different guys. very classy.

19. The urge to take off articles of clothing becomes strangely overwhelming.

20. Your eyes just don't seem to want to stay open on their own, so you keep them half closed and think it looks exotically sexy.

21. You yell at the bartender, because you think he cheated you by giving you lemonade, but that's just because you can no longer taste the vodka.

22. You think you're in bed, but your pillow feels strangely like the bathroom floor.

23. Your hugs begin to resemble wrestling take-down moves.

24. You begin to think you're a really good dancer and anyone within arms reach becomes your new dancing partner.

25. You've taken off your shoes because you believe it's their fault that you're having problems walking.

26. You can't feel your phone vibrating in your pocket and then when you look to see what time it is, you find you have 7 missed calls from someone you
"supposedly" met at the last party.

27. One minute you're strutting your stuff, the next minute you're rolling on the ground, and you can't seem to remember the transition.

28. You can no longer feel your face or limbs so you flail your body about to try to regain feeling.

29. You call your ex-boyfriend 1,000 times and leave lots of really nice voicemails saying that ya'll need to hang out more.

30. You start hugging strange people and having great converstations with strangers at whataburger

POST (Easter) SURGERY

WHOA....
what a unforgettable Easter!

OUCH!!!

Easter morning started out lonely and sucky for me due to two very painful reasons:

1) it was almost over 24 hours of me feeling a terrible, and I mean terrible lower abdominal pain on my right side of my body.

2) My boyfriend was out of town, in Boston to be exact, at a pre-draft training facility, and he told me he would only make it back Tuesday

As my morning went on, I rolled around in bed in absolute crucial pain, I searched the web to self-dignose myself.  I had came to a conclusion i was not constipated, nor was my bladder full, (which the pain was a feeling of "fullness) so my only other thought was..
"Ahh haam I have a cyst in my ovary." so I laid there upset and in pain in the room alone.
Around 2pm... I hear the sound of a door opening, I turned around and it was my BOYFRIEND! Aaaahhh sneaky little him! He tricked me in beleiving he was only coming back on Tuesday, so he could surprise me! Aah yay I wasn't no longer alone anymore, and my pain felt a little better having him there to comfort me.

Around 4pm. We started getting ready to go over his family's house in Virginia for Easter dinner, his brother was just a couple minutes away from picking us up when I was self medicating myself so I could make it through the evening (or at least try too) so I kinda overdosed on the over the counter meds, bcuz I knew that if I did infact have an inflammation going on than 3 advils every 8 hours could help.

at 6pm We were all sitting around the dinner table, about to indulge in a great meal cooked by my mother-in-law.  Easter dinner at the boyfriend's family house was simplily amazing, as predictable. Delicious food around great company.  But I had the pain just wanting to explode from my body, so I excused myself and attempted to call my home doctor on his personal phone.

Being the great doctor he is, he answered and was able to speak to me and have me put pressure in different areas of my stomach and describe what I felt.

"Ding ding ding Appendicitis, you need to go to the emergency room and get a ultra sound now" says my doctor.

It was now 10pm: Although I have no insurance and no condition to pay for a medical bill especially one coming from an ER. I still followed what he said, my boyfriend excused ourselves from dinner and we were back in washington dc at the georgetown university hospital checking in at 10:30pm.

The hospital was empty, as in no patient no lines, just me and another family with a sick young girl. But still the amount of time waiting around to be even seen by a nurse was over 2 hours, not to mention I had the worst experience with my ER nurse.  She was just in a terrible mood, finally I had a cat-scan and at no surprise to me it was my appendix that was causing me all the pain.

Around 4am with my boyfriend by my side through everything, we were put in a room to rest before my scheduled surgery at 7am.

Pre-surgery I was tired, groggy, and on pain, post surgery I was all of the above except pain!

The anesthesia didn't wear off fast enough, I could barely keep my eyes open, It was a terrible post surgery feeling, I felt helpless, unable to move, and feeling a heavy discomfort in my bladder due to the fact I was retaining water and not going to the bathroom to dispose of it.

My boyfriend stayed with me at the hospital for a complete 24 hours.

At 10pm on Monday he left to go down the street to our dorm room apartment and get some rest, while I stayed back In my uncomfy state of drowsiness.

Today; Tuesday day 3 at the hospital isn't so bad, I feel alot better, my cheeks are actually rosey again, I was able to use the bathroom on my own, and the pain medicine have been working great so I don't feel much of the pain in my incisions. My day time magnet nurse Emma was wonderful, and so was Pilar my overnight one, also a magnet nurse.

My mom is flying in to town today to help me with my recovery. And today I should be released from the hospital, so I will keep everyone updated!

Did I mention I hate surgeries an hospital and everything to do with the two of them,???

Aaaaahhhhhhh

HAPPY EASTER

HAPPY EASTER
everyone!
Whether you are religious or not
Easter is always a sacred time for everyone

It is a time for worship
a time for celebration
a time for family
and of course, a time for chocolates.
 Lots of it.

Easter Egss are a huge part of the Easter tradition in Brazil
If you are a young child, then you search for your hidden eggs.
If you are older, then you just receive eggs from everyone.

Supermarkets walls and ceiling are filled
with eggs hanging from it
by their wrappers.
And as many as it might seem
they fly off the walls and ceilings like
hot cakes...
Sold very quickly,
since most people that buys them
buys multiple eggs at a time.

My favorite one is the white chocolate
by Lacta.
It was delicious,
and it is filled with other chocolate goodies on the inside
so it is double the deliciousness

and thank to my mother
she says I have one waiting for me at her home
in Florida,
for when I go stay with her
while my boyfriend is in transition
with his career and
team  placement.

YUMMMY
Fatty fatty me, likes it

Missing YOU!

I can't help it....
He has only been gone 1 day and 4 hours..
(and counting)
but I miss him,
he will be back in a few days
but a few days consists of way too many hours
too many,
to be without him.

Since we live together,
we are never apart
It is hard to come home to an empty house
or to sit home and not expect him to walk through the door
with the smile on his face, showing off his dimples,
and the sparkling look in his eyes
while he kisses me hello!

You know you really love someone,
when although living with him,
being under his wings all day
doesn't make me glad or relieved his gone on a short trip
so I can have my time, space.
I actually enjoy his presence
his companionship

I always been a very independent person
I have traveled alone before
to multiple countries.
I have lived and spent most of my time
with myself.
I'd think I'd like some "alone time"
but NO,
Something has came over me
that I don't need time away from him
I don't need time for myself
I can work well with his presence
and company
Never do I get bored
Never, do I have enough
of him,
my darling!
my everything!

I don't even know how I will survive
being away from him for over a month
starting next month
when he is away in Boston,
training for the
NBA 2011 Draft
and
I will be at Sunny Florida
with my parents
longing for him
every minute of my day
until our hearts reunite again
and
we can begin our lives.
together.
forever.

Random Kindness

Last Wednesday
approx around 7pm at night
My boyfriend was walking me home from work,
(Which he rarely ever does)
We were 1 block away from being home at our residence at Georgetown University
Walking down PROSPECT AVE;
One of its popular street.

Noticeably…
Coming our direction was a young man,
I could tell he was a student
by the way he was dressed,
in his button down shirt, and khaki pants.
And the obvious fact that he, alone, was carrying a large, bulky, empty Keg
in a big container.

We walked right by him,
And I couldn’t help but to stop, turn around, and think
I felt the need to automatically help him
As I watched him place the keg down on the floor every few steps he would take
In order to rest him hands and fingers

My boyfriend in the other hand, was in a rush to get home,
And didn’t think anything of it
until he looked back and saw that I wasn’t following behind him.
I was standing there, watching the young man resting on the keg
as we both watched the young man struggle carrying the keg the hilltop
I asked my boyfriend if he could help him,
he thought quickly to himself,
Without a response from him
I started walking toward the young man’s direction
And my boyfriend followed

"WHERE YOU HEADING?" I asked.
"Down the street to return this" he replied pointing at the silver keg
DO YOU NEED SOME HELP? -I asked
He looked at my boyfriend, making sure if he was willing to do it
and said “If you don’t mind I would”.
My boyfriend than said "we don't mind, lets go, I’ll hold one end"

I walked behind them, making conversation with the shy guy
Who introduced himself to us as Mike to us
Mike seemed grateful for the help,
He thanked us, and stated how it was really an unexpected act of kindness

I could tell he was a little embarrassed,
Due to his stuttering speech
as he had recognized that my boyfriend
was someone he knew,
someone he once cheered for from the stands at Verizon Center
during  the HOYAS basketball game.

We chatted up with Mike along the way to the liquor store
Mike was not only an International Politics major
but also a Georgetown University Student Body President,

Not only did this act of kindness impacted Mike's life
it also impact mine and my boyfriend’s.
It was an opportunity of kindness we could not have let it slip
and I know both parties would feel compensated from the act.

CABELO CALIFORNIANA!

Also known an CALIFORNIAN HAIR.
CALIFORNIANA hair
is a name of a colored hair styled originated in Brazil
consists of two-toned color hair; mostly done in woman with long hair.

It is when the root of your hair is up to 5 times darker than the ends,
giving the impression someones highlights might have grown out.
Doesn't look very pretty, or does it?

It does if done by a talented and familiar to the style colorist.
Check out Selena Gomez hair in the picture below.
Great Example of a perfectly done CALIFORNIANA HAIR.

And this is a trend I tend to follow....

In the Eye and Heart of the Child

"To speak truly, few adult persons can see nature.  Most persons do not see the sun.  At least they have a very superficial seeing.  The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and heart of the child.  The lover of nature is he whose inward and outward senses are still truly adjusted to each other; who has retained the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood. "

GU DAY 2011

FRIDAY!
April 29th, 2011
is the....
(drum rolls please......)
The 11th annual  "Georgetown Day"
and I am so frigggin' excited to be a part of it this year.

It is no surprise to any GU student what April 29th is. . . .
Every one on campus (and around campus) has been looking forward to this day!!!!
ITS GU DAY!!!!!
What's Georgetown day, you might ask? Well....
Its a day when the entire University comes together
to throw the biggest party of the year on the Hilltop.
So, what is there to do on Georgetown Day? Here are a few stuff the GU day committee set up for this year's GU DAY! and they promised to be even better than the last recent years!!!!

I am sure I will be enjoying every bit of it with my boyfriend, along with all my new friends I have met at GU for my time here.

Copied straight from the GU committee page is the schedule for GU DAY below

Entertainment
  • Dunk Tank (12 to 4 p.m.): Come and dunk some of Georgetown’s campus celebrities!
  • Improv (2 p.m.): Miss the last Improv performance in Bulldog Alley? No worries, because the Georgetown Players Improv Group will be performing on the new Dahlgren Quad stage early in the afternoon.
  • Bungee run (11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.): Ever want to be thrown backward by a bungee cord into an inflatable? Well, here’s your chance! The bungee run is among the inflatables that will be out on the lawn that also includes an obstacle course.
  • Jack’s Wings Eating Contest (12 p.m.):  Can people handle actually eating that much Wingo’s? Show up to find out, but be warned—if the contestants don’t puke, we figure you will after watching people eat that many wings.
  • Guild of Bands (3:30 to 6 p.m.): Want to hear a bunch of bands in one place? Then check out this performance on the Healy stage, which will showcase Georgetown student bands.

Food
  • Slushies (12 p.m.): A new addition to Georgetown Day. These frozen beverages will be served throughout the day.
  • Haupia Pie (2 p.m.): Hawaii Club will be making haupia pie, a delectable coconut-flavored treat, and serving it up in Healy Circle. Joined by the Cuban American Student Association, Unconventional Eaters, and more, they will be a part of the inaugural cultural foods demonstration.
  • Birthday Cake! (2:30 p.m.): Georgetown Day turns 10 this year, so there will be lots and lots of cake.  Marie Antoinette references not necessary.

I used to have so many of them,
They were def a young girl's favorite thing
in the early 90's
I remember taking extra good care of them

and over again.
Until the glue would lose its grip
and I lose a pair. haha!

Although I had my ears pieced
It was still the coolest thing in town to have
these babyss!!

Childhood memories are so much fun to
look back on!
I only wish to provide my children the same

Punta del Este, Uruguay

 PUNTA DEL ESTE,
Famous for its natural beauty
and it's nightlife.
A popular destination for the higher-class bracket Brazilians to go vacation
on holidays, some even weekends.
Many friends of mine visits this place
and have AMAZING things to say.

Punta del Este
has been a popular location not only for the Brazilian crowd
but for every neighboring country in South America
It is a guarantee good time in Uruguay's
most visited city :)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Punta del Este is an upscale resort town on the southern tip of Uruguay, southeast of Maldonado and about 140 km east of Montevideo. Although the town has a year-round population of about 7,300,, the summer tourist boom often boosts the population by an extra 500,000.

History

The first Europeans to set foot in what is now Punta del Este were the Spanish at the beginning of the 16th century. However, the colonization of the area actually began around Maldonado at the end of the 18th century due to Portuguese expansionism. Punta del Este and its surroundings (Maldonado and Punta Ballena for example) at the end of the 19th century were kilometers of sand and dunes, but in 1896 Antonio Lussich bought 4,447 acres (1800 hectares) of uninhabited land and there he started a botanic garden and planted trees and plants from all over the world.
Later the trees started to spread on their own, and now the area is full mostly of Pines, Eucalyptus, Acacias and various species of bushes. Punta del Este hosted an American Summit in 1967 attended by U.S. President Lyndon Johnson. In September 1986, Punta del Este played host to the start of the Uruguay Round of international trade negotiations. These negotiations ultimately led to the creation of the World Trade Organization in 1994.

Demographics

As of the census of 2004, there were 10,506 people and 47,657 households in the department. The average household size was 2.9. For every 100 females, there were 97.2 males.
  • Population growth rate: 2.285% (2004)
  • Birth Rate: 17.10 births/1,000 people (2004)
  • Death Rate: 7.06 deaths/1,000 people

How We Met

There is no greater feeling than being in
Absolute love
with someone you have known and grown to love.
He is my rock,
He keeps me safe and warm in his arms
far, far away from the insanity things of this world.
He is treasure
the man I have always dreamed to have
and fear to lose.
HUMBLE
should be his middle name
because besides loving, educated,
and having the mind and soul of a warrior
and the heart of a lover
that makes me melt with every word.
He is my protector,
my teacher,
my best friend
MY SOUL MATE!

Did I mention he is cuddly, funny?!
He also would love me to mention he is great at Crysis 2.
He beat the whole game in less than a month.
true talent :)

Life is TOO short to be MISERABLE

My boyfriend and I recently made a pact
A pact to never (well at least try to never) let insignificant people
get to us/affect our mood/day
A pact that reinforces our minds to try to discard all the negative words or actions done towards us
Especially from the insignificant people, aka by standers, aka posers in our lives
People who claim to be our dear friends
but on the inside gets some type of entertainment from creating problems
or seeing us fall.

I guess one thing is always true. People are always going to talk
whether you doing good or bad.  You can't control what they will say
you can only control yourself and your actions.
So focus on yourself, and if you are in a relationship
focus on each other
rather than letting others affect you

I get too caught up trying to debate/argue against
the insignificant ones
and forget to just ignore it
and let it all go
and still have the courage to
forgive
and smile.
even if they don't smile back

You Cannot Destroy ME

“since we all came from a women, got our name from a women, and our game from a women. I wonder why we take from women, why we rape our women, do we hate our women? I think its time we killed for our women, be real to our women, try to heal our women, cus if we dont we'll have a race of babies that will hate the ladies, who make the babies. And since a man can't make one he has no right to tell a women when and where to create one”

Got Enemies?

If speaking my mind and standing up for myself
in what I believe and value wins me enemies,
so then be it...
I welcome it.
Unlike others..

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

"Over the Rainbow" (often referred to as "Somewhere Over the Rainbow") is a classic Academy Award-winning ballad song with music by Harold Arlen and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg. It was written for the movie The Wizard of Oz, and was sung by Judy Garland in the movie.

Came across this picture online
and I just had to post it
and dedicate it to my boyfriend

We both love the classic and inspirational song
 "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"
I am not a good singer,
but something came over me one day, that I suddently had the need and urge to sing to my boyfriend
while his head laid on my chest during a very tough time in his life.

Each and every word to the sing touched him so deeply in so many ways.
That even the sound of my terrible off pitch voice sounded beautiful to him at the time
And every since it has became our "pick-me up" song.
But he rathers hear the better version
rather than my own... lol
So here it goes baby...

LYRICS:
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Things I hate the most

What to change about a woman

A man should only want to change 3 things about a woman..
her last name,
her address
and her opinion on men.

HUMILITY vs HUMILIATION

"Humility is revealing the truth
about yourself.
Humiliation is somebody else
does it for you."

I chosen this quote for my entry today, because it has everything to do with what I went through this weekend. While vacationing in South Florida with my boyfriend, I organized a fulfilled weekend with two of my cousins who happen to be siblings and their loving boyfriends.

What was suppose to have been an amazing family trip, turned sour when one of my cousin’s boyfriend happens to share total opposite values, and views as the rest of us, and has a insensitive type of personality, which is far from the personality the other 2 men share in the trip. To his defense I must say he happens to be the youngest one so maybe that can explain a lot about his loud, dirty mouth, rude personality.  And when he is nice he is nice, but it is not often enough because his nice personality hides behind that bad-boy front attitude he regularly displays.  My cousin on the other hand, if the most humble, tolerable person in the world, she is happy and full of life, and nothing gets to her.  She refers to her boyfriend’s outburst and comments as "jokes" while everyone else refers to something much different, such as INSULTS, if I can say the very least.

I don't think everyone’s idea of a nice relaxing weekend consisted of a bad mouthing, arrogant, offensive words spree, which is far from what we had in mind as good company, I mean no one is obligated to listen to it, or to take it as a joke something that is far from being funny.  So when someone who has a very straight forward, outspoken personality, and is too old to tolerate, a too young to ignore it…..like myself. things are bound to get blown up when you are with this certain individual for more than 24hrs

And that is just what happens.  Mr. BAD MOUTH became very sensitive after hearing me say he should come with a disclaimer or a warning sign, since his personality is so offensive. He is a rated R person to the fullest, and I was not looking for that type of entertainment around the clock. I’m sorry if the truth about yourself becomes a form of HUMILIATION to you, you should’ve been humble enough to realize what is appropriate behavior and what is not, but then again maturity helps, and this kid is far from being mature.

There are a lot more to be said that was not said. Not only by me, but by everyone that has came in contact with him, not only this weekend, but in life period. He is an unlikeable person, hard to tolerate him. And then he wonders why he has no friends?!?!? And my beautiful, sweet cousin has to cover it up and deal with it every time someone judges her boyfriend, or dis attaches from her because of him.  It is hard to dislike someone who dates a such loving fun girl  but you try hard to give the person as any chances you can for the sake of their loved one but it can only go on for so long.  I don't know how she does it, it is a version of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.  I guess opposite attracts…She sees something in him that NOBODY else sees. And that is why it is so special. We can call what she feels  for him "love",,,or we can call it young and naive since they been together since High School.  Who knows exactly! Let's just hope the verbal abuse from him stays at a minimum

To the Beach We Go

TOMORROW TOMORROW TOMORROW
I said tomorrow!
Tomorrow is almost here,
and what's tomorrow you may ask?
Well tomorrow is when I take a trip down to
South Florida
(Boca Raton/Miami Beach to be exact)
with my dearest boyfriend
(Julian)
for a fun in the sun weekend.
It is a extra special weekend for us
because not only it is our first couple's trip
It is Julians's first time to Miami Beach
(Non-work Related)
and he is meeting my family for the first time.
...YIKKKESSS!...:)
Everyone is so excited and happy to meet him
and I am looking forward to..
ummm...
EVERYTHING!
I hope to come back to Washington DC
with a little sun-kissed glow :)
ooh la la!

A Beautiful Place

Be Soft;
Don’t let the world make you hard.
Don’t let the pain make you hate.
Don’t let the bitterness steal your sweetness.
Take pride that even though the rest of the world disagree
you still believe it to be a beautiful place.

I Love Kiehl's

Kiehl's Kiehl's Kiehl's
I cant get enough of Kiehl's
My skin lives and breath on Kiehl's
I swear by many of Kiehl's skin and hair products
They never fail to impress me
and this is coming from a "Beauty product junkie"
who has tried everything from:
Bliss
Dermalogica
REN
Clinique
Boscia
and you name it...
even my boyfriend is hooked,
and I didnt have to beg for him to try it

I can forgive you, if you have never heard of Kiehl's until now.
To be honest, I recentely I stumbled my way into a Kielh's store
and I am so happy I did

Kiehl's are not the type of skincare company that advertise in glossy magazines…
its more the sort of product you quietly discover by word of mouth,
or by walking into a store like I did,
then you soon realize that you are hooked!

Their products are clean & simple with no fancy packaging or labeling- what you see is what you get, weather it be a lightly scented coconut body moisturizer or no frills day cream.
Seeee....

Here is a little background on my obsession:

Kiehl's was founded as an old-world apothecary in New York's Lower East Side neighborhood. From our earliest days, our staff has personalized every contact with Kiehl's customer.
Our fine formulations have always been made with the most unique natural ingredients found the world over. In those early days, recommendations may have included such unusual remedies as Attraction Powder or Money Drawing Oil - considered highly efficacious in their day.

Today, we serve customers everywhere skin and hair care formulas derived from the most unique natural ingredients. By combining tried-and-true methods with the latest innovations from around the world, we assure the high level of quality and efficacy our customers have come to expect from Kiehl's for more than 159 years.
