Class of 2011

CONGRATULATIONS LOVEY
on Saturday,
 May 21, 2011,
my boyfriend will walk across a stage
and receive his degree from
one of the nation's most prestigious school
located in
WASHINGTON D.C

Being a student athlete isn't easy
in fact, if not double, than triple the work
of what is required from an academic student.

A student athlete at the very least requires:
dedication
discipline
motivation
responsibility
and
determination

And at an over achieving school such as Georgetown
it also required a lot of hours of studying.

Only a few are chosen to hold the title of a student-athlete
and only a few of those are offered a scholarship from the school.
And when accepted,
these students are not just regular college students
They become students on a mission
A mission to not only be part of a intellectual group of young adults that makes up the student body
but to also earn recognition and success in the sport chosen

They are constantly a figure of
represatation of the University

 That represantation comes
from winning games
to winning titles
to how you talk to the media and press
and also the way you carry yourself on and off campus.

You are immediately in the spot light
and cristimism, expectulation
and jugdment are what you can
expect on the daily basis from your peers
and random people.
And now-a-days with the internet
you are also subject to
being talked about by whoever wishes
to speak about you
wether it is in a good light or bad.

You turn into a public figure on campus
putting that much pressure in a young one's mind.
Between academic endevours and dedicational affort to a team
during practices and games
We must admit
Nothing comes free, and easy in this life
and
these students EARN the scholarship offered to them

Which brings me to this post
telling everyone know how proud I am of my boyfriend
for not only being the most dedicated basketball player in a tough conference
but still, making every effort possible to
devote his mind into studying and being a great example of a student-athlete
He has never let a teammate or classmate down
when working on group projects
 he was a leader
expected nothing but an A on his work.

My boyfriends hard work inside and outside the classroom
has came to this VERY special piece of paper
and the title he will carry forever
GEORGETOWN ALUMINI
instead of him representing Gtown now
Gtown will represent him.
Amen!
And when you are a Georgetown grad,
nothing stands in your way.

YOU DID IT MONKEY BOY!
Class of 2011

I love you.
forever.
