Happy Halloween 2011

OCTOBER 31 st - HALLOWEEN

Halloween is always a fun time of year 

that is celebrated around the world

[[But mainly in America]]

It is that time that time of year everyone, no matter what age,

gets to get loose,

 have a little fun,

and add a little sense of humor to their "character"

by dressing up as whatever their like

While some dresses as their favorite super hero,

others as scary witches,

some as graceful angels,

and others as little sluts.

Whatever your costume of choice might be....

 it is all in the spirit of Halloween

Whether you are enjoying your time with 

the children

or attending a friend's Costume Party,

it is a guaranteed good time

far from your average parties

I guess...People are just in better moods

when are not "themselves" 

[[lmao]]

I didn't have much of a Halloween this year

[[since I am currently in Belgium]]

but I must say, my facebook friends have kept me entertained

as they have all been posting pictures of their creative costumes.

I was able to live a little of the Halloween celebrations through them.

lol.

Braided Hair

I remember as a kid my mom would only braid my hair

if it was either dirty, simply unmanageable or both 

She didn't do much but put my hair in a pony tail and braid the tail

[[[but wow, times have changed]]]

Now a days braids are a classic style far from boring.

As braided hair has been one of the most obvious beauty trends this year

More and more woman are incorporating [[unique]] braiding styles to their hair-do's

from an interesting up-do,

 to hippie chic headband braid,

to Bohemian twist

to the Braided Halo

or the Fishtail braid

And those are just a few examples of the newest trend

And I gotta admit...........

I am super jealous of the women that can style their own hair with a beautiful braid

I have a hard time even successfully doing a normal, [[boring]] braid.

I think braids are a cute way to add some "girliness" to ones hairstyle

BUT it all depends if it suits YOUR look.

Personally, braids definitely suits my look, 

and I could only wish I had someone close to me that could

execute a beautiful, fun, girly braid on my hair

Until then,

I will keep on admiring this trend.

Invisible Treasures

MODERN FAMILY

oh.MY.gosh!

I know I am a little late on this show,

but a friend of mine just recently suggested that I should watch it

and now... it is one of my favorite shows to date.

At first, I wasn't sure about this show.

Since Reality TV is so popular now,

I discriminated every show that wasn't reality based (petty drama and cat fights)

[[ooooh but silly me!]]

Why would I ever think that a well thought out comedy series,

written by some amazing writers, and delivered by a set of great actors

would be anything but great tv?

I definitely underrated the show,

before ever watching it.

[[Shame on me]]

So I talked my boyfriend into watching it with me for the first time

last week, and it was a 

SURPRISE HIT!

 we laughed uproariously, non-stop!

We must have watched an entire first season in one sitting.

The casting was so good,

Ed O'neal delivery is absolutely pitch perfect,

Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson are hysterical together

as the gay couple raising an Asian baby
[[They are my favorite]]

Sofia Vergara is stunningly beautiful; while she portrays

Ed O'Neal's young Colombian wife.

Every actor plays a hilarious, stereotypical role

Which ties this show together perfectly

in every way possible throughout each and every episode.

I am so happy for MODERN FAMILY's success 

it has brought laughter and comedy back to television.

And hope they keep coming back for more and more seasons

A Gelato Addict.

No matter what time of the year it is,

[[[Spring,Summer,Fall,Winter]]]

It is always the right time for some gelato.

I absolutely have a crazy addiction to it,

I crave it,

I want it,

I get it,

It's my little piece of heaven on earth,

guilt-free, flavorful 

and favorite treat.

My favorite kind are the fresh fruit sorbets,

not in any particular order

but top 3 flavors are

Passion Fruit (super tangy)

Strawberry (love the sweetness to it, and the seeds)

Mango (smooth, and flavorful)

Thankfully, there are plenty of Gelato shops

around the city of Antwerp,

and some of them, to my surprise stays open til 11pm.

[[SHOCKING]]

because in Europe everything closes at 6p

I am always int the mood for some gelato,

[[How can anyone ever resist?]]

I choose that over frozen yogurt any day!

YUM YUM!

How Close We Were

There is always that somebody 

that we miss in our lives

that [[Somebody]] who once were so lively present in each day and occasion

then one day they simply disappear

and even though you know you will see them again

it isn't near the same of what it used to be,

between the 2 of you 

and you can't help but to miss them

SOPHIA GRACE!

This little girl was born to be a STAR!

She is 8 years old, from the UK and loves Nicki Minaj

Recently her parents posted a video of her on youtube

rapping and singing to one of Minaj's popular song

"SUPER BASS"

And the world fell in love with her attitude, and the way she can rap the lyrics to the song

and sing the bridge perfectly.

Finally, she made her first TV appearance on the ELLEN SHOW

and got the surprise of her life.

My Favorite

Pilates Nation

Oh Yes! Finally!

I've found the cure to my weight gaining problem

Pilates Nation.

right here in Antwerp, Belgium.

I enjoy a good, hard [intense] workout,

I might complain a little at first,

(while the exercises are kicking my butt

and the instructor is motivating me to keep going)

but I do, after all, enjoy every minute of a

fun, fat burning workout sesh...

Upon arriving in Antwerp, I tried the whole gym thing

and although the gym might work for some a lot of people,

it never really works for me.

I was consistent, I would wake up early, 

and dedicate myself daily

but the number on the scale seemed to be going the opposite way.

"I like results that my body can feel, and that my eyes can see."

I didn't really understand, because I wasn't weight training,

I was simply doing [some] cardio interval training

whether it was on a treadmill, or stair-master.

I suppose I wasn't pushing myself hard enough,

What can I say...the gym bores me,

and I am not the best trainer for myself.

So I guess, what I really needed was 

a live-instructor there motivating me 

and pretty much telling me what to do.

(One on one training, and group sessions have always worked in the past,
so I should just stick to that!)

Then... I heard about

 Pilates Nation.

Better than any gym workout out there

They offer small group classes that 

combines cardio, resistance training,

circuit and plyometric moves

for what they like to call it

The Ultimate Workout.

And they live up to their name,

they really offer the Ultimate workout

burning 9X more calories 

than a regular cardio session.
(whooo hooooo!)

My first time there I tried one of their 4 popular classes

the INTERVAL XT

which was a combination of high intensity

interval training on the treadmill

and plyometric exercises
(loved it loved it loved it)

Pilates Nation is just the beginning

to a new me!

And I can't wait to go back for more!

It has taken my working out to a whole new level,

and I love the way I feel.

Como muitos casais modernos, o motoboy Anderson Cerqueira e a auxiliar de escritório Janete dos Santos se conheceram por uma rede social. Os dois casaram-se e tiveram um bebê lindo, que nasceu saudável no último sábado. O conto de fadas contemporâneo tinha tudo para ficar no anonimato não fosse por um detalhe: os dois batizaram o bebê com o nome de Facebookson, em homenagem à rede na qual se encontraram pela primeira vez. Anderson contou que teve que ir a dois cartórios antes de conseguir registrar a criança. “Eu queria chamar de Facebook, mas eles disseram que não pode dar nome estrangeiro, então eu coloquei Facebookson, porque eu sou Anderson”, explicou ele. A história ganhou o mundo depois que o jornal americano Daily Bulletin (na foto, o pai com o exemplar), de Los Angeles, publicou o caso.
Nas redes sociais, o casal foi alvo de críticas. Para muitos, o episódio reforça a popularização do Facebook no Brasil. A matéria, publicada na editoria de economia, usou o caso como exemplo de como a rede de Zuckerberg está avançando inclusive no Brasil, onde o domínio do Orkut era absoluto. But unfortunately they decided to name the healthy baby after the social media network that they meet through, FACEBOOKSON, is what the parents decided on, and after "Daily Bulletin" an American newspaper did a story on them, it has raised a few eyebrows worldwide.

Is it just me, or did Summer just flew by us?

and I barely got a chance to tan my skin....

And Fall wasn't even around long enough for me to say hello.

But hey, let's not complain,

because I gotta admit,

Winter fashion is my favorite!

I love playing around with the dark colors,

layering my outfits,

throwing come comfy, but yet stylish boots on

crazy accessories,

and a nice coat.

It kinda completes me.

This winter I am looking forward to a more edgy look

but yet, still girly, and fun!

The red lipstick,

with the punk rocker boots,

the super stylish trench coat,

and a cute winter cap.

I have a new found love for the movie

It has been over a year

I've been to a lot of places

but I haven't been back to Brazil all this time

I left [[Brazil]] with intentions of coming back

I wasn't prepared for my life to take such a crazy but wonderful turn

I didn't say goodbye properly, I didn't pack my things

I am a year and a few months in of missing a small part of me

Although I am happy with the changes 

and the special someone God has put in my life

he is the reason I am where I am today

but I just can't help missing my family and friends

and most of all....

 missing the chaotic but beautiful country I call home

Some days I just miss it so much

that it literally hurts me inside
